Dear Mahatma: Let’s say there’s a traffic jam and every lane of the interstate is backed up, and a motorcycle travels through the lanes of stopped vehicles. I have a friend who does this. He says it gets too hot on the seat of an idling motorcycle — because the engine is directly under the seat — and is perfectly legal for a motorcycle to move through traffic in such a manner. Is he right? — Joanne.
